The way live as modern humans - hunkered down in home offices, bent over during home schooling sessions, sitting masked and confined in cubicles, tethered to our devices - negatively impacts how our bodies move and how we feel.
Our ancestors moved to survive, yet we spend 8 hours a day in our work spaces. They pushed, pulled and lifted while eating food that came from the earth. They hinged at the hips, rotated their torsos and ran across terrain. We type, write, talk, sit and eat what happens to be convenient.
The modern condition is one of “desk form” (rounded shoulders, weak glutei and a weak core) that leads to lower back pain and stress due to our constant connectivity.
But this can all be remedied.
The “why” behind your choosing to pursue personal training is one specific to you. So take a second to ask yourself: What is driving you to make the changes you want to make?
Together, we will move freely and build both physical and mental strength.
There is also a mindfulness element to all we do.
In the gym, I will teach you how to live in the moment and think about why you are performing each complex movement. The act of conscientiously performing complex movements and understanding why helps promote focus and awareness.
And while I am not legally allowed to create meal plans for my clients, I am able to provide nutritional tips and connect you with safe, effective, nutrient dense foods that promote health and focus.

Manda grew up all over the midwest, riding horses and running track. Years later, while working in an office setting, she found herself growing increasingly unhealthy and inactive. It took a few years, but eventually she joined a gym, started working with a strength & conditioning coach, and the rest is history!
Eventually finding her home in the kettlebell community, she decided she wanted to give others the tools she herself had gained on her journey from clinically overweight and constantly tired to healthy, active and proud. As an ACE certified personal trainer, Megan has lived and trained in Chicago and Denver and had the honor of working with some amazing humans along the way!
She is in the process of studying for her NASM certification, has a background in social work, and owns to adorable dog-like cats. :)
